Game delays are a part of life. A delayed game is, well, you know the old adage, a delayed game. While it is undoubtedly disappointing to learn that a game you are looking forward to will be released the next year, this is usually for the best in order to guarantee a high-quality product. We’ve compiled all of the notable setbacks that 2022 has experienced into an alphabetized list for your convenience. Read more game news here at Daman Casino Tips.
Arc Raiders
The debut game from Embark Studios, a group of former DICE employees under the direction of former EA boss Patrick Söderlund, was scheduled to be Arc Raiders. The co-op shooter about fending off space robots made an impact at the Game Awards in 2017. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Embark revealed months later that it was postponing Arc Raiders until next year in order to concentrate on releasing another shooter project first. This game, which was once known as Project Discovery and was given the name The Finals during Gamescom, quickly advanced through the development process, prompting Embark to concentrate on publishing it first and Arc Raiders at a later date.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Many people believed Ubisoft’s open-world Avatar game would release around the time the theatrical prequel, The Way of Water, made its debut in December, but we suppose it wouldn’t be an Avatar project if it didn’t encounter difficulties. Frontiers of Pandora won’t launch until at least 2024, possibly even next year, in order to successfully launch what Ubisoft hopes will grow into a broader gaming franchise for James Cameron’s sci-fi setting.
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
The people at Team Reptile didn’t think they’d have time to give their sleek homage to Jet Set Radio the care they believe it deserves after its 2022 release. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will therefore be released sometime in the summer of 2015. We’ve been waiting far too long for a Jet Set Radio game, so we’re eager to see how this comes out.
Company of Heroes 3
On November 17, Company of Heroes 3 was scheduled to be on sale, but its creator, Relic Entertainment, wasn’t happy with the way their military RTS was developing. Company of Heroes 3 will now be available for PC on February 23 and for consoles later in the year. This is because the development team wants to take more time to fix bugs and ensure that the game meets up to fan expectations.
Deliver Us Mars
Deliver Us The Moon’s unexpected sequel appears to be larger and better in every aspect. So much so that creator KeokeN Interactive desires to devote extra effort to getting Mars ready for players. Deliver Us Mars was consequently delayed until February 2 instead of September.
EA Sports PGA Tour
The 2021-first-announced PGA Tour is EA’s first golf game during a long sabbatical, with a launch window in the spring of 2022. The Ladies Professional Golf Association is included in the game, and the publisher secured exclusive rights to the Masters Tournament. Unfortunately, aside from a few courses and events, we don’t know much more about the game, and EA has only provided hazy launch dates. It recently delayed the release of the game until Spring 2023, one year later than originally anticipated.
Forspoken
The fantasy adventure “Fish Out of Water” by Luminous Productions saw a second postponement, moving from October 11 to January 24. October has quickly become crowded with major releases; perhaps Square wants to remove Forspoken from the pack so it can attract more attention in the customarily slower month of January. Square Enix states that the game is essentially complete and is in the final polishing phase and that the delay was a “strategic decision.” Hopefully the additional time does justice to this intriguing action RPG.
Hogwarts Legacy
We had a sneaky notion Hogwarts Legacy might also slide out of 2022 as the summer went ahead and delays kept happening left and right. After all, since the open-world wizarding game’s initial gameplay demonstration in March, developer Avalanche had maintained a relatively low profile. By eventually announcing a release date for Hogwarts Legacy on February 10, it validated these worries. Sadly, Avalanche later switched to a more spaced-out release. For current-gen and PC, Hogwarts Legacy will launch on that date in February, while last-gen console users will have to wait until April 4. Fans of the Switch platform will have to wait even longer, as the game doesn’t release for that system until July 25.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Nintendo heartbreakingly revealed in March that the follow-up to Breath of the Wild would debut in Spring 2023; this date has recently been shortened to May 12. Although some gamers lusted after the Zelda vs. Elden Ring Game of the Year showdown this year, we’ve grown accustomed to waiting for this game. What is a wait of almost a year? Biggest 2022 Games that players are waiting this 2023.
Pragmata
Because we know so little about Pragmata’s unusual premise—that an astronaut teams up with a strong young girl—its delay has probably been met with the least interest. Additionally, it never even approached the original launch window. The sci-fi game’s release date was set for 2022 when Capcom first announced it in 2020. Pragmata’s release date was delayed by Capcom to 2023 in 2021, before we had even grown attached to the idea that it would happen this year. Two years is more than enough time to forget about Pragmata for a while. We don’t know why Capcom added an extra year to the development of Pragmata because of its secrecy, but we can’t wait to learn more about this intriguing game soon.
